Step Into History: Join the Inaugural Vacaville Heritage Council Downtown Walk in Vacaville!

This event is free and open to all. No admission is required, but donations are always welcome. 

The Vacaville Heritage Council invites you to experience the rich history of our city like never before! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16th, and join us at 9:00 am for our very first “Downtown Tour” of North and South Main Street.

We’ll begin on Main Street at the entrance to the Creekwalk Bridge. Built in 1911, the bridge is an enduring symbol of Vacaville’s spirit.

Guided by docent Mike Whitley, a history enthusiast who previously led engaging tours in Cotati, this walk promises fascinating stories, hidden gems, and a fresh perspective on the heart of our community.

The tour will conclude at our archives in the historic Old Town Hall, 618 E. Main Street, where you can explore even more about Vacaville’s vibrant past.
